The link will get you to an excellent summary of who, what, when, where, why and how for the new movie, "Dirty Grandpa" featuring Zac Efron as Robert DeNiro's grandson. This is not a movie made for showing to a Sunday School class. Assemble a list of the 20 nastiest words you have ever heard and imagine each of those words being used about 100 times in 90 minutes. But, this is one of the funniest, most twisted movies of all time. Uproarious laughter was heard repeatedly in the theater courtesy of some of the most shocking scenes you can imagine. It's the kind of movie that encourages people leaving the theater to dump out any popcorn they have left and then pull the bag over their head, with a couple peep holes, as they head quickly to their vehicle before anyone they know sees them. But, they will still be laughing and quoting lines from the movie as they go.
DeNiro hasn't made a decent movie in this century yet. Nothing comparable to his early younger days.
Here is a clip from his first Scorcese film Mean Streets (1973)

From what I've read it is indeed a funny movie.
IMHO they could have named it something different. 🙂
DeNiro has chosen to remain active when many others his age are resting on their laurels. Perhaps he wants to be like George Burns and keep it up into his late-90's. Entirely new generations "discover" such performers.
