Bob Costas interviewed Jerry Sanduskey last fall and edited out the following statement.

"I didn't go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I've helped," Sandusky told Costas in footage that never made the November airing.

I doubt the complete video will go public until after the trial is over.

Had that been aired this would have been over a long time ago and many not guilty parties would have been spared grief.

What is amazing is that many people are still willing to come forward and state he is a good guy. Jeckyl and Hyde to the max.

What amazes me is those saying it is OK to even shower with kids. My involvement with Scouts as an adult leader began about 30 years ago and even then the rule was separate showers for adults and Scouts. That other youth organizations did not have similar rules is perplexing.

I don't want anybody to think I am defending the sort of behavior Sanduskey is accused of but I don't want to see him tried and convicted in the court of public opinion either.

Their are plenty of known instances where psychiatrists have extracted "repressed memories" of horrors that never actually happened. And once one such victim comes forward in a high profile case like this many more come out of the woodwork. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but it could be, and I just want to wait for the jury who are hearing the victims testify in person to decide who is telling the truth and who isn't.

This latest statement of Sanduskey's can be taken either way ,IMO. Showering in the same gang shower as the kids was stupid - even creepy - but not, in itself, abusive.

If the alleged incidents are true then the bastard should burn in hell. I'll just wait for a jury of his peers to convict first.

Is the interview admissible evidence?

We all have the right to remain silent, but anything we do say may be used against us...so I'd guess it would be.
