The thread earlier involving Western movies provoked this quiz. Name the Western show that featured both Danny Thomas and Marlo Thomas and they were father and daughter.

You got me on that one. I guess I could Google it...but that's cheating.

I vaguely remember Danny Thomas in a western setting and my best "shot in the dark" would be Bonanza.

edit: I wake up at 4:30 AM to catch reruns of the "Twilight Zone". I'm really fond of seeing young actors there that eventually made it big.

"Honor Bright" first aired February 2, 1961 with Danny Thomas playing a freshly released ex-convict returning to his home town. At first he attempts to refuse to recognize his own daughter as he knows how much he must have hurt her during his absence. She convinces him to be her father again by recalling the special phrase they had used to signify telling the truth, Honor Bright. It turns out that a wonderful young fellow has swept her off her feet and they are about to marry. The father soon discovers that this fellow is not so wonderful, has another sweetheart, and simply intends to marry the daughter so he can get his hands on the family property. The drama builds through the day of the wedding when someone (I think its the groom's wife that he had abandoned, unknown to the locals) shows up to protest the planned marriage. The bride is so distraught she runs out of the church into the muddy street and falls in front of a team of horses and wagon, resulting in her death. The groom-to-be was played by Ed Nelson who appeared in over 150 other shows including having a significant role in "Peyton Place".

Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theater consisted of 149 shows over a 5-year span. Five other shows were spun-off from this one, including The Rifleman and Johnny Ringo. The range of actors making appearances is incredible:

Denver Pyle played a sheriff on a number of Zane Grey Theatre episodes.

Frequent guest stars and famous actors who appeared include the following.
