It does seem to be nonstop, and it can get on your nerves...

I can't buy that. I've seen contrails in all manner of weather conditions and it doesn't remotely resemble any pattern i have seen before. In the bloggers piece he mentions a flight that took off from Honolulu and landed in Phoenix. Why is there a rapid descent thirty five miles off the coast of L.A. ? Wouldn't you want to maintain altitude and clear the traffic around LAX ? I also can't buy that engine flare was sunlight on a wingtip.
