I'm out the door with son and friends.
GO Saints!!!!!
I just hope the Gints don't hurt Brees.
Tonight it's the Giants who are saying they are 'dat. It won't be enough.;-)
I may be looking for overnight lodging in your area around January 9. Do you think I might have trouble finding a room? 😀
Robert
49-24, ouch!
The Giants are no longer capabale of hurting anyone.
I had to turn it off.
Chuck
Bet you guys had a blast, can anyone speak this morning?
Well, the Saints looked very good, but any trip to the SB has to go through Green Bay and the Saints do not play well in snow, but I like how deep we are at the RB position.
NoNoNo
They have to win against GB this week.
Eli was too hot early and they had no running game.
The Mercedes-Benz Dome was loud.
I think that the Saints also dub in some crowd noise in the background also through the PA system. 😉
Our son's streak was broken. He hasn't been tardy or missed a day of school for the last 2 years. He did go through the DARE program this year at school, so he got a field trip to see the various effects of alcohol on people. some very serious partying going down downtown. One group rented a HS marching band for their tailgate party under the expressway.

It depends on what you want to do. There is plenty of hotel $pace and some with parking. I don't think that there are any book early deals and places will be double their normal rate.
If you are driving , you can stay out of the city like Slidell or at one of the casinos on the Ms Gulf Coast. We have a bunch of new hotels here along I-12 at 190 (45 miles from the Dome via the 26 mile Causeway bridge).
A few of us talked about going to Birmingham next week or so for the NCAA Men's Soccer championship at Regions Park. We were considering taking the amtrak Crescent round trip. It was chaper than driving. But I am doing a winter soccer camp on weekends for 10-12 year olds so the 'rail trip' was cancelled.
So if you found a room downtown, You could rail into downtown from Birmingham and leave the car at home. It is too bad that they are working on the streetcar spur from the trian station/Dome to the Canal St/French Quarter now. If it was done , one could rail to New Orleans and then get on a steetcar and ride to the french quarter.
email me if you have any ?s

Robert,
I was sort of joking about a place to stay.
I lived in Mandeville and Metairie from 1984 to 1986. I worked for Randy Dixon at N Y Associates. I am somewhat familiar with the area even though many things have changed since then.
If you do come to Birmingham via Amtrak or by airplane, you will need to rent a car. The little bit of public transportation is unreliable and doesn't go anywhere near Regions Park. Also, let me know and I will be glad to meet you for a meal and some beverages.

"I worked for Randy Dixon at N Y Associates."
Bummer, I had a similar misfortune from 96-00.
