Looks like both leagues will have the wildcard positions chosen on the last day or the day after.
Boston beat Baltimore and the Yankees may have let Tampa Bay win one to tie up the American League wild card at 90-71 each for the Red Sox and Rays.
Philly beat the Braves and the Cardinals are 12-6 over the Astros in the 8th. Tomorrow Atlanta and St Louis will be tied at 89-72.
An I-95 series between Philly and New York is highly probable.

We were in Boston two weekends ago (part 2 of this year's baseball tour), and happened to see the only game the Sox won against the Rays.
Fenway Park is a great place to see a baseball game......unless your wife's seat is behind a column (which ultimately means that YOUR seat is behind a column).

It ain’t over til it’s over.
The Brewers and the Tigers are rolling pretty good. They both have some decent pitching and some good bats. Of course, the Phillies are loaded and the Yankees have the bats and a pitching staff the that have played beyond expectations.
Angelo, Iwas wondering about your summer MLB journey.
In the early 80’s, I did a ballpark pilgrimage tour.
When I got to Fenway, I bought an available ticket. It was an obstructed view. I had been to Comiskey the week before and my seat was behind a column. I asked the usher if I could move and he moved me to another seat. There were plenty available. This was the LaRusso White Sox team. So at Fenway, I went to the will call window and there was a very old Bostonian with snow white hair and a dapper mustache. He must have been in his 80s. I quickly explained to him that I was touring ballparks and had an obstructed view and how at Comiskey they moved me to a better seat. He listened and glanced down at my T that was a Razorback baseball T and then held out his hand for my ticket. He gave me a new ticket.
It was a first row field box seat on the first base line right at 1st base. Yaz was old and playing first. It was a thrill to watch him. He would work on his swing with visualization while he was playing first.
My Braves have had an epic collapse. 10 games up in the wild card race a month ago to tied with 1 game to play - pathetic. Philly has our number this year, I doubt the Braves win tonight. Philly is my pick to win it all. They are so solid on both sides.

We did two short trips this year...one to Washington DC to tour the Nationals Park, and the other to Fenway.
Unfortunately, we reversed what should have been good travel timing.
In July in DC it was 100 degrees before game time.
Then in Boston two weeks ago, it got down to high 40's by the sixth inning.
After the AM ballpark tour in DC (104 degrees at that point), I went up to the ticket booth and told the guy he had a chance to save two marriages today by exchanging these field level seats for seats with access to the air conditioned "Stars and Stripes" club. For an extra 15 buck a ticket, we were able to sit in the A/C before the game, and our seats were close enough to the doors that we felt a cool breeze everytime someone came in or out behind us.
At Fenway, we all resisted the urge to buy any memorabilia with the words "Boston" or "Red Sox" on it. I settled for a hat that said "Fenway Park - 100 Years".
Each of the ballpark tours were great, but keep in mind if you go to Fenway, there are no advance tix, just show up early at the scehduled time. Also, on the Fenway tour, no press box access, no clubhouse, but they do take you up on top of the Green Monster.

Nolan Ryan might have something to say about that, GO RANGERS
I'm pullng for the Braves. My 81 yr old FIL is a lifelong Braves fan.
Plus it would give me another angle for him to get a new HD tv. 😉

I wouldn't mind seeing a Detroit/Milwaukke series to teach the MLB a lesson.
Extending the WS to November is very bad IMO.
Who wants to see baseball played with players wearing ninja masks and ear muffs?

I agree. The yanks have a good all-around team, and Philly has what every playoff team dreams about: three really good starting pitchers. Should be fun to watch.
GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!
My childhood dream...since I was about 9, was to go and see a Cards home game. Seeing them at Dodger Stadium just isn't the same!!! :-/ This dream of course still is alive and well, into my 40s. One day I'll get there!!! 😉
Angel,,, lets meet there for a Cubs Cards game . I will be wearing Blue, though!!
I think the Texas Rangers will be returning to the World Series.
Doesn't really matter who they play, but it would be nice to win the title and beat Cliff Lee at the same time.

Cards VS Texas... YEA!!! Wait...NO!! That's a hard one for me to watch cause I like both teams...but I'm still loyal to my RedBirds first and foremost. 🙂
