It is important to note that for the past two years, Texas Monthly's best ribs award has gone to a local shop in Tyler, Texas, way deep in East Texas, not Central Texas.

Prediction: Somebody is going to accuse someone else of eating horse. I am just not sure who its going to be yet.:pinch:
> I'll also visit the Alamo if for no other reason than it is such a historical place.
Visit a couple of the missions in San Antonio before the Alamo. Mission San Jose is probably the most impressive.
Nobody's mentioned Brackenridge Park, but there is a first-rate zoo there and an old quarry that's been converted into a sunken garden that's worth a look.
John
it'll be the best horse anyone ever ate.

Thanks for the link. Wouldn't it be great to be a judge and be "forced" to try each of these BBQ places. Ah, death by BBQ. You Texan's are really serious about your BBQ.

You really have no idea how true that statement is. I've seen fights (physical) over sauce and meats at competitions. 🙂

Texas hospitality????
