I guess it depends on the kids.
I have always been told Mac was the way to go for younger kids.
I guess they also have a vibe with others.
We have a Sony Vaio.
It is going on 5 years and it is our main home pc. Not many complaints and none would be major. Very nice graphics which you would expect from Sony. It came with a backpack which is one of the nicest backpacks that I have ever seen.
Our kid and the neighbors' kids are always on it, doing school work and playing games. Our son is in 2nd grade and he is learning PowerPoint. I am glad that Mom knows it because I don't. 🙂
Wife uses it for work and I use it also.
They have many flavors to choose from size to price.
If I upgrade , I will most likely do it again.
Nice thing is the sync with other Sony products, like the TV, cameras etc.
