I used to play guitar but got nerve damage in my left hand 8 years ago. I really love the blues, especially guitar guys.

Joe Bonamassa - Three Kings Tour, will be in Salt Lake August 20. I haven't been to a concert in decades. I've seen this guy on TV a couple times and he really is an extraordinary guitar player. The tickets are up to $134 in an outdoor venue. Maybe its time to do something other than work for nothing!

Anybody been to one of his shows?

Last concert I went to was some 20yrs ago and getting from the car to the concert seat was longer than I wanted and afterwards the wait to get out of the parking lot into a highway headed home, I think a nap was involved....

I like many of his sets, he plays a clean sound.

You can save some money, his and many other concert and single videos are all over YouTube....

I haven't seen Joe yet; he's one of the few people out there that I really want to see and haven't. His CD with Beth Hart called Seesaw really shows the range of his playing; a lot of the guitar is pretty understated but his phrasing and technique are really fantastic.

On a side note, I did see Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Johnny Lang a few weeks ago - KWS is also about as good as anyone out there right now.

My wife and I saw Joe a few months ago in Colorado Springs.

She wasn't a fan of his but went because I wanted to go. She is now a fan of Joe....

My recommendation is to go see him in Salt Lake if you have the chance. Very enjoyable!

Jeff

I normally wouldn't post about non-work issues, but you have just mentioned my favorite artist of this century.

Joe is freaking AWESOME!
I have the 2 DVD set from his 2009 concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Complete with interviews.

His official web site is here.

I went to his concert in the Sugar Land Center several years ago, he is great. The tickets weren't that expensive but probably worth the price, would really be special if Beth Hart was there.
