That was an interesting question posed by ESN this morning. Griffin has tossed for nearly 2400 yards so far and there is no doubt when he is hot then he is red hot. They moved into the polls this weekend and have a test next weekend at the Texas Longhorns house. Can they pass that test?
Texas has talent but has been inconsistent and error prone. I think Baylor can win this if Griffin stays healthy the entire game.
And Missouri does not get much time to enjoy their win playing against Nebraska this week. That will be very interesting but the points favor Nebraska even though Missouri knocked of #1 OU (which was over rated it seems now).
My Pokes travel to KSU this weekend and I expect a lot of points to be scored in that game. If we ever find a truly solid defense then we could beat anyone. But Nebraska lit us up and showed just how young our defense was on Saturday. And we all know that when it comes down to the really tough games that defense usually wins those games.
Is Baylor the best team in Texas now?
Hush yo mouth! I'll probably eat my hat if we lose to Baylor.
Better stock up on your favorite condiments to go with that hat.
I'm afraid you may be right. 🙁
If it help then I'll predict a big win by Baylor. I have not been right yet. 🙂
Deral - Sorry about Saturday. The Huskers always play better on the road. I thought the game would come down to who had the ball last would win. Lee Corso jinxed the Longhorns last week when he said they wouldn't lose another game the rest of the season after beating Nebraska.
All I know is that the ISU Cyclones are undefeated against Texas teams this season.
Thanks, I appreciate any help you can throw my way. 🙂
JP...Nothing to be sorry about. Nebraska was the better team. Our offense gave it a valiant try but our defense has still got a lot of work to do with our young guys.
Missouri though is going to give you a lot better competition defense wise than my Pokes did. That should be one heck of a game.
If Nebraska beats Missouri then that pretty mucks knocks out the Big 12 for any hope of the BCS game.
Maybe ISU should play the Dallas Cowboys. Well, never mind because ISU would destroy them.
I suppose the Dallas Cowboys will find another unique and creative way to lose tonight against the giants. 🙁
No. TCU is.
Good call Steve. I forgot all about them but are not really considered part of the Texas teams since they are not in the Big 12.
