Easton's Heritage Day festivities are now coming to an end as I hear the fireworks outside.
On July 5. 1776 copies of the Declaration of Independence were dispatched on horseback to all 13 States. As it was received it was then read publicly, an accounting follows.

July 23, East Greenwich, NY
July 25, Williamsburg, VA
July 28, Ticonderoga, NY
July 29, Baltimore, MD
August 1, Amherst, MA
August 4, Charlestown, SC
August 5, Richmond, VA
August 7, Bridgetown, NJ
August 10, Savannah, GA
In some of the above towns it was publicly read again on other dates. The above list includes 11 of the 13 States.
