I was having a hard time seeing the keys on my keyboard so I went out and got an illuminated keyboard, much much better! I recommend spending the $ on one if you are like me and are starting to have a hard time seeing the keys, comforting on the eyes.

I have one by "Saitek". It has three different colors and a dial to adjust brightness. It on the third desktop in seven years. Plugs into the USB. I agree it is well worth the money.
I almost never look at the keyboard so it's not a problem.
