And if you get today off too, I hope it's going to be as good as mine!

Leon's post about confusion made me think of this song:-)

Everybody has someone they love, give them a big hug as often as you can.

It was alright until the Braves sucked to high heaven. Can't hit worth a sheet and there is one second baseman I would sheet can in a heart beat if I had the chance.

Okay, rant off. Wasn't THAT bad of a weekend. Johnson didn't win the race. I didn't die. Yeah, things could have been worse.

Take care,
Ed

It was not long enough (never is).
We had our Festival Acadiens et Creoles this weekend.
A lot of two-stepping, beer, friends and good time.

The Cajuns lost to Ok st. Great game until the 2nd half.
LSU pulled another one out of their a$$.

Saints lost....

Even had a wedding on Sunday w/ more dancing and drinking.

Glad it is over, now I can recover.

Mine started off good with the win over ULL. The ULL team played their hearts out but were just over matched by my Pokes.

Mountain riding for Saturday and listening to the Indian Pipes at Medicine Park and Sunday more riding, then today a visit to the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center. Columbus days means two different things depending upon your frame of reference.

In our Red Dirt land then it's time to celebrate the native culture and not so much the white influence that came later.

We are lucky to have the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center in Lawton. It's free and well worth a visit.

Both of my boys came in, we played a wonderful round of golf. That 6'8" youngest of mine is a scratch golfer, but since I paid, he let me get him by 1 shot. Oldest Son is just starting to get into golf, but at least he is showing interest.

Went dove hunting after that, but the usual killing fields were pretty quite, but that was ok. Then went to the high school gym and played some pick up ball for a few hours.

Us 3 are pretty tough to beat.

I was exhausted but it was a great weekend. Not bad for an ol phart.

I'm still recovering from mine. I think I only got about 4 hours sleep over 3 days starting Thursday night. That might explain why I slept till about 1430 hours today. (gee, ya think) Low-mid 30s at night and mid-80s during the day played havoc on my little frame. Of course all those beers sure didn't help. 🙂
We didn't play any real golf - just frisbee golf. It was good none the less.

Note to self: Don't use the porta-poopers setup in wide open sunshine. They get to be about 150 degrees inside. Sneak off to the woods in the shade next time.

Still recovering myself, finally got the roof on the shed. Finally below 100° weekend, nevertheless wore me out.
