Over the last few years three Florida colleges have really taken off, as evidenced by their Bowl performances this year. Partly because I feel they have been helped along the path by appearances at Penn State. I am pleased to have seen them all.
University of Central Florida (Conference USA) - Georgia 10-6,
came to Penn State in 2002 & 2004
South Florida (Big East)- Clemson 31-26,
came to Penn State in 2005
Florida International (Sun Belt)- Toledo 34-32,
came to Penn State in 2007
BTW, Toledo (Mid America) came to Penn State in 2000 and won.

NCAA Educating 400,000 To Be Professionals,
Besides on the sports field.
That is not an exact quote but I was also pleased to see that NCAA ad several times yesterday.
As the announcers pointed out during the Oklahoma Connecticut game that commitment to providing 85 football scholarships is a big commitment for big time football. UConn had a leg up on other small schools in that step up in that it's men's and women's basketball teams bring in positive revenue. 85 football scholarships must be balanced under Title 9 by women's scholarships in other sports.
