Harry Caray must be partying with all the other long suffering Cubbie fans.
Ah one two three
Cubs deserved the W by coming back 3-1 down and posting the best record in MLB with this season with 103 wins.
I thought Terry Francona made a mistake by taking Coco Crisp out of the game mid inning for defense. Crisp was his best clutch hitter and player with veteran savvy. ( you only make defensive changes when you have a lead)
Crisp would have been up at bat in that clutch situation at the end of the game.
Congrats to the Cubs.
Just another sign that the End is near. : ) in
Someone in the neighborhood lit some fireworks
I'm not a baseball fan but I turned on the tv to catch the news and it was top of the 8th. Being game seven I decided to pay attention. Cleveland tied it up and looked like they might steal it away from the Cubs, but that wasn't to be. It was a pretty exciting end of the game in the 10th. Chicago Cubs take it home. Congrats to them.
Thanks for notifying me but I was watching as the final play took place. Baseball is so boring I simply cannot keep the TV on that channel for the duration of the game. Saw bits and pieces of most innings as I continually went back to more entertaining programming.
Cubs players overcame some horrible managerial decisions, IMHO. Never should have been that close, Madden really mismanaged his pitching.
But they won, so I guess there's no point in second guessing.
The Indians imploded in the first inning when Fowler got blown out of the park by the first batter and he never recovered.
When he floated a curve ball down the middle it was well over 2 innings too late for his replacement to be called in.
They did come back strong late and things may have been different had not the game postponed by the rain.
So it is with baseball and it went about 150 degrees from my prediction.

Your input shows that to have no knowledge/experience of the game including it's transcendental nature. Maybe because of your engineering training and education.
But I'm certain that Beyonc̩ on the CMA awards bringing erections all over the country music universe would definitely be more 'entertaining'.

The lead off HR only foretold that fatigue both physical and mental were going to influence the game. Pitching, fielding, manager decisions etc.
MLB has the most torturous schedule of sports. 162 games which half of which is non stop travel. Then 20+ playoff games.
Francona went all-in to win in 9 innings knowing that they couldn't win in extras.
The big tag up play in the 10th with the PR was by a Cub player that seldomly played.
Anyway...it was a good game and it was fortunate that the weather was good. Baseball shouldn't be played wearing balaclavas. : )
As a youngster I thought baseball was fantastic. That was in the days the Yankees had a bunch of guys named Maris, Mantle, Pepitone, Richardson, Boyer, Howard and Ford. I grew up. The game became unimportant to me and other things took its place. I realize that diehard fans of any sport think it is the greatest thing ever. I would much rather watch a bunch of high school girls playing volleyball over watching a bunch of pros playing baseball. Volleyball is a hundred times more entertaining than baseball. Hockey is another dull sport despite having lots of action. But nearly all of that action results in nothing, so far as scoring is concerned. Professional basketball has become nothing but run and shoot and encouraging horribly bad habits in youngsters attempting to emulate their heroes. Kids playing soccer is a lot of fun to watch. Pros playing soccer is like watching paint dry.
I have a rule: I don't root for any sports team unless one of the players knows me. Simplifies life tremendously.
