Apparently, ancient hand-carved Chinese jade requires a surveyor’s certificate.
Be sure to check the shipping charge before you bid.
Sheesh does it really cost THAT much to send something THAT small from China to the USA?? :-S :-O 😐

You have to read what it says, not what you think it says. The posting reads, in large letters, "shipping and HANDING". Apparently, the guy ships himself to your home and hands it to you. Now, that could be rather expensive!
No, it doesn't cost that much. I've bought items from China on Ebay before and it cost about 20 or 25 dollars. It takes a long time for delivery, though.
IMVHO RICS is an excellent example of a model of how to join all professional "measurers" under one professional roof worldwide for the benefit of all.

Yea I was thinking the same thing. I bought a glass rat from Hong Kong years ago...took 10 days to ship and cost me about $5.00.
