I've had a creole Gumbo z'Herbes which is an all greens gumbo. Very tasty.

BTW, I was in BR a few Saturdays ago and we stopped at a place called Uncle O's on Sherwood for a quick late lunch. swmbo had the Chicken/Andouille gumbo and it was very good.
It looked like they were located in a defunct fast food place also.
I had a turkey club that was good.

Weather still chilly and wet here today but no rain.

It was a cold one for sure in Lafayette. We had a good coating of ice from the freezing rain that fell through out the day. But we made it out the the parades and caught a butt load of beads. The crowds were very thin for Mardi Gras.

Here is my son bundled up waiting for the first parade:

The King's Parade (no marching bands):

The ice'd up Mardi Gras Tree in front of my sisters house:

After the last parade we enjoyed some good Chicken and Sausage gumbo.

I thought the late Mardi Gras's were supposed to be warm...

Oh, I picked up two more jobs b/w parades. Rest of the country forgot it was a holiday.

Robert

I am going to New Orleans Friday for the weekend. At the local event for Mardi Gras my wife told me it was time to go home because I was:

Drinking triple
Seeing double and
Acting single
