Guy beats DUI, with argument of escape from 2 angry women, (Necessity Argument)

A man caught speeding was pulled over by a highway patrolman.

When asked why he was going so fast, he replied.?ÿ "My wife recently ran off with a highway patrolman and I thought it was you trying to give her back."

"Have a nice day, sir."

This reminds me of a true situation I witnessed in a court room about 1997.?ÿ I was present as a daughter had received a speeding ticket and I had convinced her to go before the judge to contest the ticket.?ÿ The case directly ahead of hers involved a middle-aged man who had been pulled over by the Highway Patrol and given a ticket for careless driving, or some similar charge.?ÿ He explained to the judge that he had been in the process of moving his mentally-unstable mother from one facility to another one for some excellent reason.?ÿ Along the way, he got stuck behind a semi hauling live hogs on a two-lane, hilly highway.?ÿ Mom completely wigged out about the natural materials coming from the trailer and being carried by the winds such that it was htting their vehicle.?ÿ She was screaming bloody murder for the son to do whatever it took to pass that %#$@ truck NOW.?ÿ So, he did.?ÿ He barely made it back into his lane after passing before nearly being hit head-on by the Highway Patrol car.

Fast forward to the court room where the judge listened intently to his pleas.?ÿ Then the Highway Patrol officer testified that everything the driver said was true.?ÿ He had witnessed the deranged screaming while giving the ticket.?ÿ After deep thought, he had come to the realization that the ticket should be voided by the judge and so recommended.?ÿ The judge agreed.

Yesterday, driving down windy 4 lane Route 18, in my truck with full Cal Fire livery, pass someone, enter right lane, car comes up beside me and stays there, I notice a CHP cruiser behind also in left lane, I back off to give room to CHP, he puts red light on left lane car, Iƒ??m assuming impeding traffic, maybe just a lecture but could be something else.
