Fellow who lives down the road and around the corner is a mooch.?ÿ Fifty years old and still surviving because his parents support him in a variety of ways.?ÿ Every time I am nearby he comes up to ask if he can borrow something or if I would give him something that I probably don't really need or ask if he can help himself to something of mine.?ÿ?ÿ
A few days ago I stopped along the road to chat with his mother while his father was bulldozing some trees for him to cut up for firewood.?ÿ Two minutes later he shows up and promptly asks if he could use one of my tillage implements.?ÿ No.?ÿ Then he starts talking about a large limb that snapped off of an old pear tree that is on my land.?ÿ Said he would sure love to cut it up to use when grilling.?ÿ Told him that was a great idea and to do it.?ÿ Today, I saw him go driving off with his wife.?ÿ Immediately,?ÿ I drove to where the limb was, hooked it up with a 20-foot chain to the pickup hitch, dragged it out of the pasture, down the road and left it in the middle of his front yard.?ÿ Waiting to see if it ever gets cut up.

Pear trees make good grilling wood? I wonder if the meat gets a "Smoky Pear Scent"? ?????ÿ
I like grilling on cherry.
You probably forgot to cut an split it for him...

Good thing you moved it. If he ever made it over to cut up that limb, I'll bet a lot more of that tree would have been cut up. With a perfectly reasonable justification, of course.
