Well I have to finally admit total defeat with the damn bird feeder raidin’ squirrels. Some of the suggestions to rid myself of these furry tailed rats y’all offered were immediately rejected by the ‘ole bag, OW! Dammit..er I mean SWMBO. Sweetest of the sweet.

Now I have these misguided critters (Sandhill Cranes) eating out of and around the feeder. They are fun to watch as they follow the same routine each time they visit. (Up from the lakeshore to the feeder, around the screen enclosure, and back to the shorefront.

My "Birdwatching" etal duds, Beerleg goodies sent to me from Angel. (yes Angel I know the shirt is on backwards. I had been sampling several varieties of lager prior to the pic)

Well gotta go, Jerry Springer is on.

Y’all have a great week!

Saw a ground squirrel today, early for them to be out. Seems that everything is early this year, except for the winter rain and snow.

Sandhill's are quite tasty! Used to use a large round cake pan for a bird feeder. Got tired of the squirrels and camp robbers eating all the seed, so I set a fox trap in the center. All the little tweety birds were light enough to not trip the trap, but a squirrel or grey jay would set it off. Used to shoot the little b@$turds with the .22 and staple their tails to the trees. They soon learned my range and stayed away. Doubt SWMBO would approve tho', eh?
