In the morning Carol Hiatt Huff and Larry Phipps will present a class on "Changes". As a group surveyors are growing older. Part of what this (and the recent difficult economy) means many surveyors are selling a business, buying a business, closing a business or leaving a business through retirement. There are lots of ways to accomplish these changes. Some are much better than ...others. This seminar will help you understand the best way to plan for a transition. Keeping your Professional Liability coverage or avoiding taking on the liability of another party can be a big deal. Do not miss this presentation.
In the afternoon Larry will conduct a class on Ethics and the South Carolina Professional Surveyor. We will go over the SC Code of Conduct and then discuss some "What do you do if___?" Situations. Students will be taught a process they can use to consistently make good, ethical decisions. Come prepared to speak up and express your views, this class will get lively.
