Can't say how well known this lady is in your country. Does anyone know what singer this is?
When was the photo taken?
My guess would be Vietnam era, entertaining the troops. Photographer in olive drab, parachute rigged for canopy, minimal sound equipment and the speakers and mic stand look older style.
I took this pic in Vietnam in 1967. This was a USO show featuring some entertainers from Australia. The female singer had success in several English speaking countries.

There was a film called The Sapphires based on a true story. Perhaps she was one of them. Here they are now.
The lady name is Wilma Redding. She toured all over back in the day. She still lives in Australia. For more info you can find to the internet and find a lot of pic's and a bio of her.
I have seen her last name spelled differently, but I think this is correct.
