I think I am on track to make about 10X the money this year as last, can anybody tell me what a dime buys these days?

Are you sure? Those old wheat-back pennies are solid copper......
Great,
Maybe you can finally afford to replace that old beater you've been driving 😉
11 YO now with 243K, been a good ride and is still costing me way less than payments on a new one that probably gets less MPG, I think I will just have to drive the beater a while longer 🙂
Instead I think I will spend my dime on all new radios and licenses per my other posts this morning, I hate to spend money on that since it all still works, BUT big brother says I must 🙁

You watch, they will extend the deadline based upon the impact to people during a depressed economy. At least they should. JRL
Well we can hope, BUT the truth of the matter is this was decided along time ago, I think 10 years ago, it is now almost 10 years later. I wouldn't expect it to get moved, but I would like to be proven wrong, if they do, I hope it is before I lay down the cash for new radios, I need the new license anyway, not that much additional cost to make the narrow band change to the license.
Now we are starting to talk all serious about stuff and I started this thread in humor for a reason 🙂 and it wasn't because I got rich this year, 10X the nothing I made last year is still nothing 😀

My work load has doubled.
My receivables have quadrupled.
Depressing!!
At least part of that sucks!

Ten times zero is still zero.:-(
> Those old wheat-back pennies are solid copper.
Close, but not quite. Technically they're bronze (95% copper, 5% tin and zinc; 1864-1942 and 1946-1958) or brass (95% copper, 5% zinc; 1944-1945), or zinc-coated steel (1943 only).
Yep! Thus why this was in humor! Well in all seriousness 2011 is better than 2010, at least by a little.
