Made an interesting dinner tonight. A bed of browned wild rice topped with candied yams and slices of spicy elk sausage made by Taylor’s Sausage of Cave Junction, Oregon.

The salty, sweet, and hot spicy mixed together nicely. Will make it again. The key is the sausage. Topped it off with a mug of Downtown Brown , nut brown ale bottled in Eureka, Ca. Sorry TM no photos.

Sounds good!

We had a roast slow cooked in the crock pot, green beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread, and sweet tea.

We have a good friend that lives in Cave Junction. Pretty wild place the few times we've been there. Will put in an order for some of those sausages.

We had a dinner just to clean out the fridge and not have to go to the store. Got some chicken breasts out of the freezer, cooked them up with some garlic and onion, added green enchilada sauce and poured over grits. Also, roasted some broccoli w/olive oil & garlic salt until almost burnt.
