It looks like I will be visiting Deutschland with my older daughter. The plan is to travel cheap and light like a college student.

We are thinking early spring or late fall because the plane tickets are cheaper.

I realize it could be cold and snowy which isn't really a problem for me.

Any suggestions?

Octoberfest is September 18 to October 4 this year.

HOWEVER, the Cannstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart runs through October 10. I'll be there the 7th - 9th.

And what daughter doesn't dream as a little girl of one day accompanying her father to Intergeo, the world’s largest trade show for surveying, geoinformation and land management.;-)

But will there be vomit sinks at Intergeo, just like at Oktoberfest? I rest my case.
