Had never heard of such a place until today.?ÿ Turns out it is in Bowie County not far from Texarkana.
An obituary I read today listed the lady's maiden name as Dalby and her birthplace as Dalby Springs, Texas.?ÿ She must be a descendant of Warren Dalby who arrived at that location in 1839 and for whom the springs were named.

Warren K. Dalby (1806-1889) apparently.

There is a bit of a family resemblance, for sure.?ÿ She was born in 1927, so it is possible the youngster in that photo could have been her father, although a bit older than most.?ÿ She definitely acquired the longevity gene.
