The mechanization of what was back-breaking hand labor can be amazing. However, I have never ridden on the bovine merry-go-round shown. I have seen a smaller version of the mechanical Mama with dozens of teats, though. I had a neighbor using one of those for dozens of bottle babies purchased from numerous sale barns.

Our city has for several years used "elephant trunk" vacuum trucks (not trailers) to collect leaves.
