My 4th started off with a lot of BOOM that was followed by a lot of water falling from the sky that came in waves all day and into the evening hours. I heard very few fireworks followed by a lot more BOOM and water falling from the sky.
Inches of water covering the yard all day.
I did not start a fire and remained inside with a days worth of recorded music and a couple of Cleopatra Jones and Jackie Chan flicks, satellite reception was near zero.
This was after 1st turning of the meat.
Boneless Chicken thighs steamed over wine solution for 45min and put on grill to glaze
One genetically enhanced spicy southwest marinated chicken breast
4 sticks of boudain
Half rack of baby back pork ribs with 3hrs cook time remaining
This should be ready in time for NASCAR and/or Women Final with Japan...
Plain ol' scrambled hamburger with baked beans kept things simple around here. No visitors. Just the two of us (hey, isn't that a song).
When it comes to food, I'm lazy. The easier it slides down the gullet the better. Don't even want to imagine what I would look like with this Santa Claus beard after tearing into a rack of barbecued ribs and hot-buttered corn on the cob.
A greasy Santa Claus at best! B-)
Nice koozie!!
