They proved that they were the better team.
Yeah, but we have the new record for 41 walks during a WS contest. And no telling how many hit batters we could add to that. Still throwing up in our mouths here...
THE CARDINALS WIN THE WORLD SERIES!! HISTORY IS MADE!!!!!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-O  :hi5: :}: :{:
Wendell and I decided go down to the bar to shoot pool, have dinner, and watch the game with fellow bar patrons. (I could not eat dinner until game was over...too nervous!)
Most of the bar folks were rooting for the Cardinals, and saying "After watching last nights game, the BEST in baseball history, the Cardinals deserve it." I would say BOTH teams deserve it because they BOTH have fought hard as nails!! But when the Cards won, WOW. EVERYONE in the bar was clapping and cheering...AT ME...because of my extreme emotional reaction, my tears could not stop flowing!!! They all got a kick out of seeing me so happy, crying!!! Wendell says THAT was the best part of the whole night!! Plus I kicked his butt at pool!!! 😀
I honestly wished there was a way for BOTH teams to win because I love them both, but I am always first and foremost loyal to my Cardinals, even if they are playing my 2nd favorite team. And after Thursday nights comeback, after making history how many times??, after all of the critics saying they're still losers, well, they deserved to shut some mouths and they did.
August 25, 10.5 games back. 20 games left, 7.5 games back. 5 games left, 3 games back. A team that scraped into the postseason on the final day of the regular season proved impossible to evict from October. Though they were never favored against the Phillies, the Milwaukee Brewers or the Rangers, the team's conviction did not falter.
At one point afforded less than a 4 percent mathematical chance of reaching the postseason and rated by Las Vegas sports books as a 500-to-1 proposition to win the Series, the Cardinals overcame doubts both within and outside their clubhouse with an uncommon show of resilience, bullpen and chemistry.
And now? World Series Champions!! Congrats to the St. Louis Cardinals, and their fans for their 11th World Series Championship!! Also to the Texas Rangers for giving us a fantastic World Series. 🙂

THE CARDINALS WIN THE WORLD SERIES!! HISTORY IS MADE!!!!!!
In true Scooby Doo fashion , I will now remove my Texas Ranger mask to reveal that I was a Cardinal fan all along, and that all of the Ranger sweep talk and Cardinal jokes were just a smoke screen as to not Jinx the Red Birds 😛
Not really. Like Tim said, They proved they were the better team and deserve all of the accolades that go with a World Championship. I am sure that after the swelling goes down and we can reflect on this World Series, we will realize that although our Texas Rangers were not victorious, it was one heck of a 7 game series as well as one heck of a season, that none of those young men have anything to hang their heads about.
Congratulations again to St.Louis and all of their fans.

LOL Yer silly, Roadhand!! Texas deserves just as much credit as the Cardinals for their fight and drive. They never quit, either. The Cards just were a little better and got a little luckier, IMHO.
Texas will come back and win it all next year, and I will be cheering and rooting for them!! (Unless they play the Cardinals.) Third times a charm!!! 😀
All of my jumping around last night backfired...I popped my knee and now I can barely walk!! Dang it...But IT WAS WORTH IT!!
Having been born and bred in So. Ill. (hard core Cards country) and also having some kin and a lot of friends in TX I would have been happy either way. In the end, it was some dag gum mighty fine ball being played. Defense on both sides was most awesome IMHO. My first MLB ball game was at the old Busch Stadium and got to see my hero, Lou Brock, bust the base stealing record. I think I was about 8 or 9 then.
