LSU destroyed Texas A&M and thankfully did not leave the game close and in the hands of Les Smiles to make a call at the end. They had 83,000 at the game in a stadium that holds about 105,000 if they open up the end zones for standing places. Not bad but I figured it would be a total sell out. It was one of my 'most' want to watch games of the bowl season.

In contrast my Pokes versus Arizona put 77,000 in the seats but most were in orange. Not many Arizona fans made the trip but I enjoyed chatting with the ones that did make the long haul.

Sorta sad to see the college season winding down.

Wait A Minute Deral

If the 2010 season does not end, the 2011 season cannot start.

Besides that, the "Wait till next year" is sometimes the best season of all. Everybody has a perfect record.

At the end of a season all records must mean out to 0.500.

That makes the Southwest Conference 2-4 in bowl games this season.

I think the Big 12 is 3 and 5 this year. All three from the Big 12 South though. Pokes, OU and TT.

LSU looked great last night, which leaves me hopeful for next season, having a lot of young players on the team.

Geaux Saints

I think that they mentioned that it was the 2nd largest Cotton Bowl attendance ever. It was about 5k shy of the record.

It looked like that LSU used the time off since the it's last game to prepare the offense for it's multiple sets and getting on the same page. A lot of classroom X&O and watching tape of blunders from earlier in the season.
Maybe Paul Pa ( not relation to Joe Pa) the Maven could answer me a question.. If Alabama had beaten Auburn at the end of the season. Who would have played in the Cotton Bowl and the BCS Championship Bowl on Monday? IMWTK

LSU will have a new QB in spring practice. It is the kid that was supposed to start for GA this year but he had to leave school when some serious charges( Rothlesberger like) were brought against him. I don't know if he was supposed to be as good as Mathew Stafford was at GA but he is a Tiger now. He spent this past season at a JC somewhere out in the hinterlands laying low.
So there will be a three way contest for QB..or Miles can just play them all in rotation.
🙂
That little CB from New Orleans played a great game.

Of course that arguement is easier to make now than the first week of December.
