Just upgraded from topsurv to the magnet software offered by Topcon . Having a little trouble with the code library from Carlson software 2014. Any tricks for ideas on which code library to use? Should we use the default codes in magnet? Or will it use the custom codes from Carlsons ? FCL files?

The Best thing to do is to start with the Carlson file and modify the codes to fit your company. Build your own code list, set it up in a custom.fld file and then convert that to a .fcl for your field collector. I have yet to see a vendor supplied list that was complete or easy to use.
