Took a few days off to go horseback riding on a private ranch, out in the canyons, a bit south of Palo Dura Canyon, near Caprock Canyon. Found not just one, but 2 old section corner stone mounds with 1 1/2" iron pipes driven into them, just in the middle of nothings. About 3 miles apart north south and a mile apart east west. I am so thankful I was not on that chaining crew!
No, no, no, Monte. Vacation is when you go somewhere that in no way resembles your normal day to day existence. At least that's what people who go on vacations have always told me.
Just because you're away from work doesn't mean you turn your brain off. Last weekend we were strolling along a gravel road in the North Georgia Mountains when I spied a tall stake in the middle of a pasture with pink flagging waving in the breeze. I had already taken about 5 steps toward it before my wife caught my arm and pulled me back. "That is NONE of your business, don't go wandering across someone else's property", I stopped. But I'm STILL curious what that lone stake was.
