Wow.
?ÿ
The bastion of American sports brought to a halt with a broken chain....
Then the 'backup' chains looked like a kludge from your neighbors disaster shed of horrors...
Wonder if the the tape they used to repair is certified.....
?ÿ
funny and hilarious...
That ritual always looks bogus to me.
Football is a lot like Catholic liturgy, lots of symbolic ritual?ÿ
It's all entertainment...with freakishly strong and freakishly fast guys...
The money blows my mind.
We're in a weird space when people are willing to pay the money they do for a seat at a regular season game let alone a playoff or Superbowl ticket....
And yet balk at the cost of a simple survey that protects the most valuable thing they'll usually ever own.
?ÿ
not political....just facts...

Saw a picture yesterday of a fellow I have met a couple of times.?ÿ He is an uncle to two of my closest friends.?ÿ He was sitting in a wheelchair within a chained-off area very close to one corner of the field awaiting the start of the Kansas City-Jacksonville game yesterday.?ÿ He is 91 years young and has been a season ticket holder for 60 years.?ÿ This story explains a bit about the situation.

This week's Lamar Hunt Legacy Seat honoree is Fred Burress. Burress is a retired United States Navy veteran that served three years as an electrical engineer. After leaving the military in 1957, Buress moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and worked as an electrical engineer for 35 years. Burress and his family have been Season Ticket Members for 60 years.

BTW, his first cousin, who I have met several times and done work for, could have addressed the broken chain situation with ease.?ÿ He is a lifetime Civil Engineer whose father was as well.?ÿ I'm sure, at his age, he had plenty of experience with broken chains.
