Boise State will travel to Michigan State to open their 2012 season. Michigan Stae comes to Boise State in 2022 and BSU goes back to MSU in 2023. In order to do that Boise State postponed a game at Oregon State. ESPN has guaranteed Boise State $1.2 million for 2012. Michigan State is the first big team outside the PAC 10 to agree to come to Boise.

I hope boisie beats he hell out of Michigan.
You hide and watch. Michigan State will host the Broncos in 2012, and based on BSU's current popularity and notoriety they will fill the stadium and go to the bank on that one (even deducting the 1-game travel payout to the Broncos). Then Sparty will promptly negotiate a buy out of the remaining contract for 10 cents on the dollar, long before the 2022 return visit or the second home game in 2023 ever happens. Boise State will gladly take that discount on the original contract in order to help fund some immediate stadium expansion plans.
ESPN smells real funny on this one, because by 2012 Boise will playing in the Mountain West Conference, and ESPN currently has no TV deal with the MWC and so is barred from broadcasting MWC home games.
As Wimpy used to say: "I will gladly pay you on Tuesday 10 years from now, for a hamburger today".
