Two really good games on hand in the Big 12 Today.

Nebraska @ Texas A&M... TAMU has been rolling since changing out QB's and they are on a hot streak. Nebraska is fundamentally sound so this should be a real game of who's defense can put up the most stops and generate some turnovers. Gut says Texas A&M by 10.

OU @ Baylor. OU has played terrible on the road so I wonder if Baylor has a shot at upsetting them this year. Baylor has a stud QB and has had one of their better years. OU needs this win to stay in the hunt for the Big 12 South Championship. I'll root for Baylor but the gut says OU by 7.

My Pokes have a dangerous game today. On paper we should dismantle Kansas University but with OU looming large next week then it's one of those where you could slip up unless the coaches kept them focused this week. The Pokes win by 21.

No. 12 Cowboys Soundly Defeat Jayhawks, 48-14

Brandon Weeden passed for 389 yards and three touchdowns to lead No. 12 Oklahoma State to a share of the Big 12 South title with a 48-14 win over Kansas on Saturday. The Cowboys (10-1, 6-1 Big 12), can win the title outright if... READ MORE

Deral,

I don't think they were worrying about OU.

My Pokes got off to a sluggish start but poured on the coals down the stretch to defeat KU and are now the ONLY team in the Big 12 with a 10-1 record.

I missed the OU prediction big time. They dominated Baylor just like we did this season. Next week should be really interesting. I can't remember the last time we were favored over OU.

NU-TAMU went pretty much like I expected except for the really low scores. Lot's of hate mail this morning on ESPN about the officials in that game. Nebraska thinks since they are leaving the Big 12 that the refs were against them and threw a lot of bogus flags. I saw at least one on the hit on the TAMU QB. That hit happened just as the ball left the QB's hands. I did not think it was a foul at all. Most of the penalty's came on false starts. The noise at Kyle does that to teams unless they are VERY WELL prepared for the distraction.

No significance in the polls but Colorado beating KSU was a surprise to me. That's two wins in a row after they fired their coach.

It's now bedlam week and probably one of the bigger games in the series. It certainly has a lot of implications for both teams and the bowl outlook. On paper it looks to be a high scoring game with a ton of offense.

And congrats to Carl's Hokies. They played a great game in their win.
