Penn State 5-2 (3-0 Big 10) hosts Ohio State 8-0 (4-0 Big 10). They are the 2 best teams in the Big 10 this year, for what it is worth. Neither is eligible to play in the Big 10 Championship Game or go to a bowl. The winner today will most likely win the "Leaders Division" in the Big 10, but Wisconsin will go to the Big 10 Championship Game.

The real winner today will be Notre Dame. They already beat Stanford and play USC at the end of the season. Assuming the BCS game is SEC/(Big 12 or SEC) and if Oregon runs the table and wins the PAC 12, expect ND to get an invite to the Rose Bowl. The Big 10 will not have enough eligible teams to fill it's bowl opportunities and ND is just money in the Bank. That also is a great opportunity for the Big East's Rutgers 7-0 or Louisville 8-0, Ohio 7-0 or Boise State 6-1 to get a better bid.

My highlight game today is my Lehigh 8-0 at Holy Cross. Ranked 9th in the Football Championship Series they are on their way to win the Patriot League, an automatic berth in the BCS and possibly several BCS home games.

Highlight of the weekend though is my daughter's son Elijah's Baptism tommorow. That is my grandson #1. Our niece flew up from Florida to be Godmother and Hurricane Sandy is coming in to christen us all. That could still be topped by a another arrival. My daughter-in-law has already waddled to the hospital for one false alarm and in an effort to steal the show grandson # 2 may arrive directly in the church.

No matter what you are doing I doubt anyone can top my weekend.

Agreed, and on the subject of Sandy, do not screw around about this. I realize this is not the norm in your neck of the woods, but it is in mine and hurricanes are nothing to be ignored. Think the worst Alberta Clipper ever, but wind and flooding instead of snow. Areas that have not flooded in 200 years will be under water if this storm reaches it's full potential.

Know this, by the time they know how bad it will be, it will be too late to bug out. Evacuate as soon as possible.

And BTW, it doesn't really matter who they play, Bama will do it again by 35 points.
