I received one of these World Market Beers of the World 10 paks for Christmas. My first stop was to Baja California Mexico for a Cucapa Obscura. Not to bad. Mexican Microbrew.

Finished that one and I'm now having a Lion Stout from Sri Lanka. Oh-boy...8.8% by volume... I'm not a stout fan, but this doesn't taste too bad at all.

Next stop.....

I'm no expert on imported beers but what little I know of them is not all beers around the world conform to our expectation of percent alcohol by volume. Friendly word of warning so you're not out there at midnight re-hanging the Christmas lights.

lol! I only have one Lion Stout and I'm still working it so I shouldn't get into too much trouble....

There is Alcohol by Volume and Alcohol by Weight.(higher alcohol content) The strongest beer that I have ever had was EKU28 during my Army days in Germany. 11.00% ABV. Taste like a bad wine from what I remember.

I like Stout, Porter and especially IPA.

I also like Bushmills neat, but that isn't beer.

1-Belhaven Scottish Ale
1-Erdinger Hefe Weizen
1-O'Hara's Irish Red
1-Fuller's London Porter
1-Rebel Czech Pilsener
1-Krombacher Pils
1-Konig Pilsener
1-Kulmbacher Edelherb Premium Pils

I believe each 10 pak are mixed matched separately so they are different.

I'm a big fan of IPA's. My favorite is Anderson Vally's Hop Ottin' IPA.

Anderson Valley on Hwy 128 is pretty country too.

I also like Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. In fact the Lagunitas Holiday brew is very hoppy this year, still have a few left.

Bellhaven Scottish Ale is really good, especially from the tap. The bottled product loses a little.

If the pub you are in happens to offer Bellhaven Stout, that's a good one too.

Lagunitas is good. Bell's Two Hearted Ale is very good also. Bell's make some other really good beers. Hophead is another good one.

I'll have to see if I can find some Hophead. I really like citrusy hoppy ales.

I've had Dogfish Head beer before. It was pretty decent. I'll have to keep an eye out for that 120 minute IPA.

That's one thing I like about the Hop Ottin'. Has plenty of a citrus smell/taste to it. Love it.
