@jim-frame and others out there-I saw news that a 6.4 quake occurred offshore north of SF. Did it affect you?
No perceived effect here.?ÿ Dave Karoly posted on FB about being awakened by his phone and then feeling the shake.?ÿ He was working a couple hours north of me, closer to the epicenter.
2:30am phone starts blaring then a second later bed is shaking. I thought it was the hotel fire alarm then realized it was USGS pinging my phone. Pretty mild here in Redding.
That's a pretty big Bump!
Plus you get those on-going aftershocks
Most unsettling.

PS: its a mobile planetary crust we are on
Knowing there are normally random aftershocks and, also, knowing the first one might not be the BIG ONE is what would motivate me to go stand in a wide open spot where manmade structures can't get me.?ÿ For as long as possible.
That's the upside to tornados.?ÿ They either hit you or they don't.?ÿ A miss is as good as a mile.
