Wikipedia has a current interesting article on Little Moreton Hall in England, and I followed the coordinate links to an aerial view. I was surprised to see this just North of the hall. Some creative minds at work.

Crop circles

The lack of logic in the crop circle theories always amazed me. Let's say we have this super advanced alien civilization from billions and billions of miles away, and they organize an expedition to Earth. A huge undertaking, way beyond anything we can do, involving support flying saucers, commissaries, hospitals, schools, the whole nine yards. A massive effort by super intelligent beings. And when they finally arrive in orbit around Earth, how do they try to communicate with us? Do they pick up a radio? No! Crop circles! Yeah, right.
