well James,
It is all about aesthetics...
Here is an artistic rendering with a southerly view which shows the old town pumping station. The building in the rear is the original fire staion when the wagons were horse drawn.
The next is a northerly view of the tower and in the foreground is the Heiner Brau Brewery which is a real European brewery in one of the old town's hardware store which was used as a warehouse for many years by a local.

Woddville? (snicker snicker):-)
I guess you know a lot of Jerry Clower jokes...

Given the proximity to river towns like Natchez & St Francisville; Woodville was always substantially more cosmopolitan than Centerville or Liberty 😀
