I've used a few different systems.?ÿ

At home I use a Ubiquiti dream machine pro to handle my network and security cameras. You just need this and a Hard drive and some POE cameras https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-network-unifi-os-consoles/products/udm-pro

I've also used Synology. This is also great, but after a few cameras they charge you per setup. https://www.synology.com/en-us/support/nvr_selector

If you have an old Mac you can run Security Spy. not the best but its a little more reliable than running windows software as the updates aren't as intrusive. https://www.bensoftware.com/securityspy/ ?ÿ

?ÿ

I'm not a big fan of ring or any of the other companies that host the camera's on there servers.?ÿ
