I still have stamps that were purchased over 10yrs ago.
So much easier to walk in the post office or the local shipping storefront and pay while sending.

What is really irritating is that I have done many things in recent years to prevent our little local PO from disappearing completely. It has been on the chopping block three times in about the past six years. You would not believe the variety of "free" magazines and catalogs that appear in my mailbox every month. Most people get three or four pieces of mail per day. We get about four inches of stuff. Volume coming into a PO is just as important as the volume going out. I have attended the closure meetings and been very supportive of keeping it open every time. Do as much business with them as possible and encourage others to do the same. Led the move of our rural water district office to be directly across the street from the PO and changed our address to have several thousand pieces of mail per month pass through their office.
