I have one township in NY that believes that any common use of land, including a road maintenance agreement for two lots to share a common driveway, requires a filing of a "CPS7" with the secretary of state office.
This appears to be something that is used by homeowners associations that have common areas, such as pools, that are owned by the association.
Does anyone know of any other towns in NY that require this? If not, can you tell me very basically what your local planning board requires?
I believe that a simple road maintenance agreement should be adequate, as used by the neighboring town.
Thanks
