As I said B4 book through air NZ from San Francisco with a stop over in NZ then direct to Adelaide , thence to Sydney , thence to San Francisco.
Just checked their web site fares at moment, return fares to Melbourne quoted $A1,362 'til 14 sept which is bleeding cheap.
No change in Aldinga Beach accommodation $ rate.

Humm.... There was a flight on QANTAS that stopped in Hawaii then went to Oz. Maybe that's what I was thinking??
