Just set up control and transferred an elevation for an EC to a couple of lots in a subdivision.?ÿ While I was collecting some static to post process, I went around and found what I could to locate tomorrow.?ÿ On one side, I found the type of light duty fence post I used at one period in time as a witness stake and found the corner at the base, but I did not have a copy of the survey I did with me.

I've looked through the GIS I keep for jobs I've done and it is not placed in there.?ÿ I've file searched using the subdivision name, lot numbers, past owners, and even possible realtors that I might have for some odd reason used as the file name.?ÿ Usually I use the naming convention [sub name}_{lot#}.?ÿ So it should be simple to find, but I'm coming up with nothing.

When I found the light duty fence post, I almost felt like I remembered surveying some of those lots.?ÿ Now I'm not so sure.?ÿ Either I did and it is not indexed properly or I didn't but convinced myself that I did.

I hate not having kept it properly indexed if that is the case, but more so; I hate a weird memory that may or may not be correct!

I hate when that happens.?ÿ Too many years and too many jobs.?ÿ I'm working a project currently that is one block east of a job I did over 30 years ago.?ÿ Absolutely nothing connected with that job rings a bell in my memory banks.?ÿ Nothing.?ÿ I was there.?ÿ I did it. I have all of the information in my job file showing what I did.?ÿ Still, nothing.

Normally, I can remember all sorts of minor details surrounding a job.?ÿ Not that one.
