The document may be available online but it would look much more believable if someone would learn how to spell the word
"Affidavit". Avidavit just doesn't have the same "ring" to it.

This case isn't new to us.

"After the judge's decision, he told the Associated Press that he had moved out, ending what he called a "huge learning experience.""

I guess he got a few months of free rent out of the deal.

My 5 minutes research finds that In Texas, without color of title, the Statute of limitations is 10 years. I think his affidavit is an attempt to establish color of title which reduces the period to three years with payment of taxes. Color of title would have to be an instrument accepted in good faith, I believe.

It seems like getting running water and electricity would be a bit stronger of a case than just camping out in the living room. And I don't know about the police not kicking him out because home ownership is a civil matter not a criminal one. Well.....what about trespassing and breaking and entering?
