The photo is of an instrument that I bought at a garage sale for a few dollars. Can someone tell me what type instrument it is, what it was used for, what pieces are missing, and how I might be able to find the missing parts. Iam not a surveyor, but I do have an interest in surveying. Thanks.

You probably can't post pictures until you've been registered for a few days and/or posted a few times.?ÿ Be patient and try again.

In the meantime, tell us what it looks like and any manufacturer or model number markings, etc.

Haha. I think so. $20 dollars. I think it might be some sort of home made Sighting device used in construction or masonry, not surveying. No manufacturerƒ??s name or model number. It looks like the sight was pulled off.?ÿ

Could be decor for Cracker Barrel?

Or, it could be good for grandkids to "play surveyor".

Have fun with it.
