Jobo, a survey crew and a movie review
Those of us who have been on this board and another one or two remember a great surveyor named Joe Glidden but better known as Jobo. He was a true class act. Unfortunately, the sands of time took him from us. He was a calm, wise voice when some of us weren’t being nearly so calm or sage with our comments.
Some regulars will recall that he was related to the young actor, Zac Efron. Zac’s mother was Jobo’s niece.
I took in the latest movie featuring Zac Efron today. At a point about two-thirds of the way through the movie he is at a construction site where some people he knows are holding a protest. There is a fairly prolonged scene with a survey crew in the background. A total station is set up and a worker is seen looking into it at one point. Typical scene with guys in hard hats standing near a white panel van. A large track hoe and dump truck are nearby. I couldn’t help but wonder if Zac had something to do with that scene being inserted.
I will not provide any details about the movie here. Anyone interested in the movie can do a search for Zac’s latest movie or, if signed on to the board, check out a thread that will appear in a couple of minutes under the “General Chit Chat” category with a title mentioning Efron and DeNiro.
