D??j vu ????
“its basically flat”
“only a few black berries”
“it was logged last year”
I can take you right to the point you need to start from. It’s a fancy cap in the top of a chunk of concrete about a foot square sticking up a foot above the ground. Says something about US Government on it.
“No, there’s no poison oak on the property.”
My own uncle ran that one on me once.

“it was logged last year”
Even worse is “it was thinned about 10-15 years ago…”
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years”.

“Shouldn’t take you very long”
Normally stated when the surveyor who bid on the job never visited the job site, but used Google Earth instead.
MH @john-putnam To add to your “It was logged last year”. You can see from one side to the other. You’ll break a leg trying to walk across all those limbs and logs, but you CAN see.
Andy
It’s all flat on the map.
My neighbor said that the power pole is on the line.
I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will!The realtor told me…
From a manager:
“It should take you about three hours.”
Cue the Gilligan’s Island theme song.

.. Which brings up an important question: If they were only going on a three hour tour, why did the Howells pack all that much stuff ??
I’ll help you…
@john-putnam It could only be worse if you had a year of kudzu and/or blackberry briers hiding all those limbs.
Basicly, anything that minimizes what I do, or is needed, is a red flag.
“I’ve got a lil’ ‘ole, survey, that I want you to do for me…. It’s only ’bout 50′ wide….. In the south of town…
Should take an hour to fix something at home…
1. Spend an hour looking for essential tool needed, where did I hide it from myself?
2. Trip to hardware store. Wrong sized part
3. Go back to hardware store, get correct sized part.
4. Break another part trying to dismantle malfunctioning thing.
5. Back to hardware store to get wrong part.
etc ad nauseum.
where did I lay down my channel lock pliers?
It should be really easy.
I don’t want to spend much money.
How hard could it be?
