Wild ZNL Zenith and Nadir Plummet
Posted by Charles on February 7, 2020 at 4:35 pmHow much is a used but good condition Wild ZNL Zenith and Nadir Plummet worth? What alternative instruments can give equivalent results?

Not in the same league as the Wild model but alot better than other Leica plummets
The older style Wild ZNL plummets (green paint) appear on Ebay for around $800-$1500; the newer style (orange paint) are generally listed for sale at about $1800-$3000 depending upon date of calibration and whether they have a reputable seller. Note, these are just the prices that sellers are asking for on Ebay, they don’t find many buyers at that price -but if you needed one there are usually 2 or 3 for sale at that price.
Thank you all.
Interesting to see the view that the older Wild ZNL instruments are judged by Bundy to be in a better league than the new Leica plummets.
Thanks, again.
My colleague used it, but since his passing it hasn’t left the office. He had a lot of praise for the orange Zeiss plummet. I would like to sell it but not sure what to ask for it. It is in mint condition.
